Create a story for your campaign page that gets to the heart of your cause and compels people to support it. Be concise, clear, and specific. You can even start by sharing a positive story of impact to get donors inspired!
- What problem are you trying to solve?
- For example, present the issue at hand (3.5 million Americans experience homelessness each year). The more specific to your region or mission the better.
- Why you are creating this campaign?
- Explain why this campaign is important right now
- What is your overall mission?
- Give a little color about who you are and your overall mission
- How will these contributions make a difference?
- Be specific about how each dollar will impact your cause, and even more so, how it will make a difference for the individuals you work with
Include photos and a video if possible. Once you have your story down, take the time to edit it. Make your calls to actions stronger, use powerful verbs, and leverage an emotional hook early in your story.
