To spend your general fund dollars you will need to transfer amounts out of the fund to specific members, and then from the members page you can then proceed with the usual redemption process.
Follow these steps to transfer points from a General Fund to a member:
- Login to Handup.org/admin
- Click on “Funds” from the left side navigation bar.
- Select your organizations general fund from the list.
- Select "redeem" from the left side menu.
- Select the "an individual" option
- In the "Who is it?" field type in the member’s name, then select them from the drop down list.
- Proceed to fill out the form that appears once you've selected the member.
- You can send an up date to donors regarding the transaction by filling out the "How does this help?" section. If you would like to skip the update to donors, leave it blank.
- Click “Finish” to make the transfer.
If you would like to redeem the points you just transferred right away, you will see a blue "redeem points" button which will take you to the members page to redeem the points.
