Suggested Use for General Fund dollars

Before using your General Fund dollars it's important to make sure you have set up an internal policy of when and how the funds can be spent. 

Here are some ideas on how you can use your General Fund: 

• Emergency situations
• A "Welcome" boost to new members to help spark incoming donations.
• Complete goals for members who are having a hard time reaching their goal amount or are very close to their goal amount. 
• Boost of encouragement for members who have not received donations in a while
• Time-sensitive or inexpensive needs
• As a reward for attending certain meetings or completing various tasks

Please note: these funds can only be used for existing HandUp members.

Partners are ultimately responsible for creating appropriate policies and judgement calls on what you consider to be an “emergency”. We recognize that members are often in crisis and that this small amount of money likely will not cover all needs; therefore, we encourage partners to direct funds toward high impact causes.
